"We fully support the objectives of the NII Awards program. It provides more than a showcase for innovation. The program itself is an innovation -- one that is important to our future. By showcasing examples of excellence, the Awards help all people understand and realize the potential of the information superhighway."

Vice President Al Gore

"By highlighting examples of excellence and helping others follow those examples, the Awards help all Americans understand cyberspace and its importance to our present and our future. The Awards program offers a model for how important objectives can be achieved by committed private sector interests working with the public interest in mind."

Newt Gingrich
